Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base  Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base - US Air Force during the Vietnam War and today Ubon RTAF is where I was stationed from June 1970 to June 1971. We were with the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing working on the navigational equipment mainly on the F4's. These F4's had a guidance system called LORAN C for long range navigation and this was the system that was used to direct the delivery of the bombs. They would get up in the air, punch in their mission coordinates and fly their mission. If you were stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam war, you might want to checkout these sites.
